Debt Denial

Debt Denial

A lot of denial takes place when it comes to the subject of finances, debt, responsibility and financial accountability.  You may deny that debt is bad.  You may deny that you really have debt.  After all, isn’t debt just being past due on your payments?

Isn’t a loan just a contract?  Or you may be thinking, Sure, I owe some money, but it is manageable and my spending really is not out of control.  Or, you may say you are young and have plenty of good years to pay off the debt; you can always start reducing your spending tomorrow, or next week, next month or even next year.

The problem is that the discipline of tomorrow never comes.  I am suggesting that you change your spending behavior right now, today – and make sure that when tomorrow does come, you are well on your way to becoming debt free.
